Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comic and actor is famous for her performance as a character on the show 'Saturday night Live.' After taking an improv training class when she was nine years old and began her acting career. It was her initial intention to become an actor, however she quickly realized the thing she really enjoys is comedy. She then shifted to doing improv. She began her career on cruise ships with members of Second City Conservatory, iO Chicago and other improv troupes. Strong performed at popular events such as Chicago Sketch Fest and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She was also a part of Virgin Daiquiri the only female troupe - as well New York Sketchfest. The year 2012 was the year she made it famous when she appeared on 'Saturday Night Live. She hosted the Weekend Update segment with Seth Meyers beginning with Seth Meyers and later with Colin Jost. Her most memorable performance was when she portrayed the character of 'The girl who you would have preferred not to start the conversation with at your party'. Cecily made her debut as a movie actress in the same film, titled "How to Fund the Uterus". Her views are openly opposed to women being treated in showbiz as bikini-models, or even girlfriends instead of as imposing characters in mainstream films.
