Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American musician, songwriter and guitarist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics made them popular throughout the world of rock. Although the band did not make much progress in America, they were hugely popular overseas. That was the case especially in Japan. Following the split of the group in 1979 Ford began a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. After taking vocal lessons she debuted her own solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her biggest hits. However, her success was only brief and after a couple of additional years she was absent. The release of Black in 1995 was followed by 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland.
