Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian as well as an American singer/songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. Her music is classified as folk and alternative rock but has additional elements of punk, funk, hip music and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement being one of the first artists to create her own label 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father is of Italian heritage. 32 Flavors is a hit song written as well as performed by Ani DiFranco.
