Zoe-perry

Perry has the father of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles included two roles in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mom. In fear of stress, her parents were not keen to let performing before she reached the age of 18. Perry states that she did not want to perform in highschool but decided to start acting as a social activity during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry managed to get tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. Homesickness, however, brought her back to California and she returned working on stage. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013 She performed with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in nine episodes in 2016 of ABC's drama The Family. In 2017 she had her own recurring part on The ABC drama about politics Scandal starring her father. She was also cast in The CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger of Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She was cast in the role in an audition that was open despite having a connection to the character.
