Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and animal rights activist. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway 72 are among her most well-known films. Born and raised in a family of artists in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. At first she began as an assistant to photographers. Then her work changed into directing and modeling. She won the Golden Globe Award in 1990 as an aspiring young actress. MacGraw's film Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide notoriety, as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe award. In just three years, MacGraw was ranked as the number one female box-office starter in the world. In 1972 her hand-footprints and autograph were engraved at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She was a part of several different films, such as The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among many others. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
